What are some important things to know before my Microblading appointment?
YOU MUST NOT::
- Be pregnant. Breastfeeding is fine. It is recommended to skip a feed & dispose of breastmilk after microblading due to numbing.
- Be diabetic (unless given a consent by doctor)
- Take blood thinners (doctor consent required to stop thinners)
- Have eczema, skin psoriasis, or acne around brows
- Be taking immune disorder meds
- On antibiotics or hormonal medications. Thyroid meds and contraceptives are fine.
- Be on Roaccutane treatment and must wait at least 6 months after completion before doing microblading
- Have received Botox treatment in your brow area in less than 2 weeks. Make sure your Botox treatment on the brow area has at least 2 weeks space between microblading.
- Have any invasive skin treatments 2 weeks prior microblading and 4 weeks after microblading.
I have an existing tattoo from another artist, what do I need to do beforehand?
If you have a previous old tattoo or microblading from another artist, please send us a clear photo of both brows with your enquiry..
Can I have steamy hot showers right after microblading?
It is highly recommended that for the next 7 days at least, you ease down on the steam. Steams open up our pores, and it really plays a big part in your healing and can fade and even adjust your fresh ink colour. So please have a comfortable ‘warm’ shower without the steam. You don’t have to have cold showers. As long as there isn’t any steam. Try to take a shorter period in the shower in the first week.
How does my skin type affect my Microblading results?
Microblading favors good skin and dry skin. Therefore clients with great skin and drier skin types achieve better value as the pigment sticks better. However, clients with oily skin can still get microblading treatment but generally require an additional touch-up. They may also require a refresher sooner than clients with good skin or drier skin.
Having oily skin is not necessarily bad skin, You may have great skin but produce more oil. Due to this, your skin type may fade the ink sooner.
With our soft, natural microbladed strokes, you won’t get a deep cut stroke meaning if you try this treatment, you can leave it to fade out if you don’t wish to continue with annual refreshers.
It is recommended to do some shading in addition to microblading if you fade out faster as shading generally lasts a bit longer on oily skin types.
Regular facials, especially with light therapy, skin peels, microdermabrasion can definitely fade the ink sooner. It is recommended to avoid and protect the brow area during facials.
In addition, protect brows from long periods of direct sun exposure by wearing hats and/or sunscreen. Sunscreen only after healing.

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of your deposit.
Deposits are non-refundable. However, if you reschedule your booking with at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit will be applied to the new booking.
